Indian Cricket: Preview for the 2nd test between India and Bangladesh

j

It is the final test and game for India in what has been an abysmal calendar year. In test cricket, the Indian team began with a series loss to South Africa before winning at home to Sri Lanka. The Indian team then lost to England before taking on Bangladesh in a short 2 match series.

India will be looking to win the 2nd test at Dhaka and take home the series 2-0 and also maintain the grip on the 2nd place in the World test championships. The first match saw spin play a huge role as Kuldeep Yadav picked 8 in the game and Axar Patel picked 4 wickets in the 2nd innings.

Venue – Sher- E- Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka

Time – 9 AM IST

Likely pitch conditions –

The pitch at Sher- E- Bangla stadium is expected to aid spinners a lot as the previous record at this ground has shown. The average 1st innings score is just 342, just like the 1st test, the captain winning the toss will look to bat first. The pitch will offer pace and bounce to the bowlers in the 1st session but by the end of the 3rd it could play into the favor of the spinners with batting becoming difficult.

Likely India XI –

KL Rahul/ A. Eeswaran, S. Gill, C. Pujara, V. Kohli, S. Iyer, R. Pant, R. Ashwin, A. Pate, K. Yadav, U. Yadav and M. Siraj
