Indian Cricket: Prithvi Shaw comes up with a cryptic message as fans slam the selectors on Twitter

Indian cricket team for the 3 match ODI series was selected on Sunday. The 3 match series which starts on 6th October will see Shikhar Dhawan lead the side and Shreyas Iyer has been named his deputy. The squad has seen some news names being added to the mix. The name of Prithvi Shaw continues to be ignored and the 22 year old has now come up with a cryptic message.

Shaw comes up with an heartbreaking Instagram Post –

22 year old batter Prithvi Shaw, remains on the sidelines after being snubbed by the Indian selectors yet again. The Mumbai based batter has been in terrific form with the bat in domestic cricket. Taking to Instagram he wrote “don’t trust their words, trust their actions, because actions will prove why words are meaningless”.


Prithvi Shaw’s continued snub –

Prithvi Shaw has been seen as one of the most promising and destructive batters in recent times. The 22 year old has been compared to the great Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag for his enterprising stroke play. Shaw made a spectacular test debut when he scored a century against West Indies. He last played test match for India against Australia at Adelaide. His last white ball appearance for India was during the short tour of Sri Lanka in 2021.

Leading Mumbai to the Ranji Final -

Prithvi Shaw missed the final leg of matches of the TATA IPL 2022 for Delhi Capitals due to illness. Post his recovery he led Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy matches and led them to the final. He scored 248 runs from the 6 innings he played for Mumbai on their run to the final.

Twin centuries in Duleep Trophy and India A appearance–

Post the Ranji season, Prithvi Shaw also played the initial phases of the Duleep Trophy 2022 season. In the two games Shaw played, he scored 315 runs with 2 centuries and one half century for the West Zone which won the title. Shaw also played 2 List A games for India A against New Zealand A scoring 94 runs. Shaw scored a 48 ball 77 in the List A game against New Zealand A.
