The Indian board also extends the same to the cricketers who come to play from outside in the Indian shores. The expectation to be meted out the same treatment towards is cricketers is an obvious expectation. The Indian women’s cricket team recently had a harrowing expectation.

Indian women’s cricket team were on a short white ball tour of England recently. The tour was part of the final farewell for Jhulan Goswami as an international cricketer. England won the three match T20 series with a 2-1 margin, India then came back to win the ODI series with a 3-0 margin.

Indian cricketer Taniya Bhatia recently took to social media platform Twitter and shared an harrowing tale. Bhatia, was shocked to see her personal belongings including cash. Someone had walked into the team hotel and just stolen the stuff brining to notice a huge security lapse. Bhatia wrote “Shocked and disappointed at Marriot Hotel London Maida Vale management; someone walked into my personal room and stole my bag with cash, cards, watches and jewellery during my recent stay as a part of the Indian Women's Cricket team. @MarriottBonvoy @Marriott. So unsafe”


Taniya Bhatia calls out the ECB –

The BCCI and the Indian government has always given top notch security to cricketers from outside India, be it during the IPL or international series. The shocking lapse of security has left Taniya Bhatia and many more shaken. This incident has left a sour taste in the mouths of many. Taniya Bhatia the young Indian cricketer visibly shocked wrote further on Twitter “Hoping for a quick investigation and resolution of this matter. Such lack of security at @ECB_cricket's preferred hotel partner is astounding. Hope they will take cognisance as well. @Marriott @BCCIWomen @BCCI," 

India women’s team created history by beating the English 3-0 in their home turf in the ODI series. The final game at Lord’s was the final ever game for Indian legend Jhulan Goswami. The 39 year old took 2 wickets to finish her career tally at 255 wickets from 204 games for India. The game also saw a huge controversy when Deepti Sharma ran out Charlotte Dean for backing up too far. This has created a huge uproar in the international cricket community and has divided opinions.
