Indian Cricket: Virat Kohli sends out a special message to Ravindra Jadeja on his 34th Birthday

6th of December is a special day for plenty of Indian cricketers as they turn a year older. The likes of Shreyas Iyer, Karun Nair, RP Singh and Jasprit Bumrah turn a year old on this day. Star Indian all rounder, Ravindra Jadeja turns 34 today and he had a host of Indian big names from the cricketing world send wishes to him on his special day.

Virat Kohli shares a special message for Jadeja –

Former India skipper Virat Kohli has seen the rise of Jadeja from close quarters. Kohli, was the skipper of the Indian under-19 world cup winning side which also had Ravindra Jadeja.

The left arm spinning all rounder played a key role in the semi final and the final with the ball as well bat. Kohli put up a picture of the two on social media and wrote “wishing you good health and happiness “ on Instagram story.

Suresh Raina wishes Jadeja on his special day –

Former India team mate and CSK partner in crime Suresh Raina too wasn’t behind. The now retired star who was recently part of the Abu Dhabi T10 wished Jadeja on Twitter. Raina wrote “Happy Birthday to the unstoppable @imjadeja, keep playing with the same zeal & dedication you've always had. Wishing you all the joy and happiness & may you continue to amaze the nation with your exceptional skills." 


On the comeback Trail :

Ravindra Jadeja was initially scheduled to be part of the Indian team for the tour of Bangladesh. The 34 year old was named as a part of the ODI and test teams for the short tour across the eastern border.

Jadeja who had missed the 2022 Asia Cup for a better part and had also the 2022 ICC T20 World Cup in Australia. The 34 year old will now be targeting his return for the home series against Sri Lanka in early 2023.

Jadeja a key part for India and CSK-

The Indian team will want to have the services of Ravindra Jadeja as they get ready to host Australia. The Pat Cummins led side will be touring India for a 4 match test series in early 2023. Jadeja will want to be part of the 4 match series and spin India to another series win with the WTC points up for grabs.

Jadeja will also be looking at the upcoming TATA IPL 2023 season where he will turn out for CSK once again. The 34 year old was retained despite the confusion between CSK and Jadeja and hope to win the title for the 5th time in what will be Dhoni’s last IPL.
