In just a few hours, India and Pakistan lock horns for the big clash at the MCG as the massive stadium will witness an amazing game. It is a revenge game for India after their loss to Pakistan at Dubai last year during the 2021 T20 WC. The two teams have been sweating it out at the nets with the game looming large to kick off their campaign for the 2022 T20 World Cup.

Hardik Pandya injured?

There is a picture doing the rounds ahead of the big game against Pakistan as Hardik Pandya was seen with a strapping on his right leg. The image was posted on Twitter and Pandya was seen limping as well according to Twitter user Srinjoy Sanyal who also tagged SPORTSKEEDA. If Pandya is injured then there is a chance that either Harshal Patel or Deepak Hooda come into the side to replace him. This injury news comes at the worst time for the Indian team.

Rohit Sharma has his say ahead of the big game –

Captain Rohit Sharma while speaking to the press was excited about playing Pakistan at such an iconic venue. Rohit Sharma said that he did not believe in last minute changes to the squad and had already made up his mind about the XI that will take on Pakistan in the big game on Sunday.

Big game for both the teams –

It is a huge game for both the teams as a win for either will put the pressure on the other team to make it to the final 4 with South Africa also present in the group. Apart from these 3 teams, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and Netherlands are also part of the group. India and Pakistan both will want to start off well and begin their campaign with a win.
