The Indian test team is facing off against England in the 5th test at Birmingham. On Friday, the Indian white ball team is facing off against Derbyshire in a T20 game. India faces two warm up games one against Derbyshire the 2nd against Northamptonshire.

Indian team just got done playing a two match T20 series against Ireland, winning both the games. India after the test against England will be playing 3 ODI and T20 games against the Jos Buttler led side. The men in blue have already named their squad with Rohit Sharma leading both the teams. Hardik Pandya has made a comeback to the squad after his impressive stint in the IPL and Ireland T20’s.

Dinesh Karthik to lead the side in the warm up games –

In a massive news for Dinesh Karthik fans, the 37 year old who has made a swashbuckling comeback is set to lead the Indian team. Karthik has been named the captain of the side for the two warm up games against Derby and Northampton. It is for the first time DK will be leading the Indian side. Karthik has led in the IPL level and the domestic level.

Dinesh Karthik’s IPL team, Royal Challengers Bangalore shared the good news with the fans on twitter. RCB tweeted and said “Mr. Finisher Supreme will be leading #Team India in the 2 T20 warm up games against Derbyshire and Northamptonshire. The 1st game starts today at 9:30 PM. Let’s hear it for our own @DineshKarthik.

Dinesh Karthik has been named in the T20 squad for the 3 match series and is expected to keep wickets in the 1st T20 where Pant has been resyed. Karthik made a fine comeback to the Indian team after 330 run season for RCB with a strike rate of 185. Based on his form he was picked for the South Africa series and he scored a memorable 27 ball 55. He is expected to be picked for the T20 world cup later this year.
