Twitter reacts angrily at Shubman Gill for his schoolboy error

Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans are battling it out in the 24th game of the TATA IPL at the DY Patil stadium. Rajasthan Royals are sitting at the top of the table after their tremendous start to the season. Hardik Pandya led side started the game at the 5th place after their loss in the last game. Rajasthan won the toss and elected to bowl and made one change. Jimmy Neesham replacing Trent Boult, while Gujarat made two changes as they gave a debut to Yash Dayal and got Vijay Shankar back in place of Darshan Nalkande and Sai Sudharshan.
The story as it happened –
Gujarat came out to open the innings with Matthew Wade and Shubman Gill. The young Indian opener has found his form, but Wade has found the going tough so far. Wade signaled his intent with a 4 of the 1st ball of the game. He then struck two more fours of Neesham’s first over to score 12 runs of the over. The next over Shubman Gill stepped down the track and rushed for a single. There was confusion and Rassie Van Der Dussen struck down the stumps. Wade was out for 12 off 6 balls and the fans were in shock at the confusion in the middle.


 

Hardik Pandya steals the show –
GT skipper Hardik Pandya walked into bat with the score reading 53 for 3 from 6.4 overs with his team in trouble. Showing his new found maturity, the GT skipper stayed not out on 87 off 52 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes. Pandya and Abhinav Manohar added 86 for the 4th wicket with Manohar falling for a well made 43. His knock came off 28 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes. David Miller swung his willow towards the end of the innings to score 31 off 14 balls with 5 fours and a six. Gt ended up with 192 on the board, Kuldeep Sen, Chahal and Parag picked a wicket each for RR.
Twitter aghast at Gill’s folly –
Twitter came out in full force to have a go at Shubman Gill for running out Wade who was looking in form. The fans were upset at the Indian batter and made no bones of the fact by expressing it on twitter.
