Twitter slams Barmy Army for insulting MS Dhoni on twitter


India and England are facing off in a short series of white ball series which started on Thursday. The first T20 was played at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton as Jos Buttler was leading England for the first time. Rohit Sharma too returned to the field as he led the Indian side. Rohit was playing for the first time since the IPL for as he missed the Birmingham test due to COVID. If the battle on the pitch is an interesting one, the battle off the pitch is heating up due to one Barmy Army.

MS Dhoni turns 41-

July 7th marks a special day in Indian cricket as it is the birthday of one of India’s best players and best ever skipper MS Dhoni. The man from Ranchi turned 41 and there was widespread wishes pouring in for the former India and current CSK skipper. Barmy Army though tried to play the spoilsport with an insulting tweet towards the former India skipper.

Barmy Army insults MS Dhoni on Twitter –

Barmy Army marked the debut of Jos Buttler as the England white ball skipper by renaming their twitter as Jos Buttler’s Barmy Army. The English support took to twitter and posted a picture of MSD walking back to the hut in the game against England during the 2019 World Cup. Barmy Army captioned the picture and wrote “Happy Birthday MS, some amazing battles over the years”

Barmy Army’s distasteful posts over the last few days –

This is not the first time, Barmy Army has posted something like this against an Indian player. Over the last few days they have been taking constant digs at former India skipper Virat Kohli over his bad run with the bat. Recently they posted a picture of Jonny Bairstow and wrote that they had won the series 1-0 against India. Veteran Indian bowler, Amit Mishra though came back up with a befitting reply and called it distorting history like the English always do.

Twitter loses its cool over the insult to MSD-
