Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022: Results from the 6th round of matches

The 6th round of games for the 2022 season for the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022 saw some huge scoring games. There was world record broken as well as Tamil Nadu became the first team to score 500 runs in LIST A cricket history. Narayan Jagadeesan entered the history books with his historic knock of 277 and you can read all the results of every game which happened on Monday here.

Karnataka vs Sikkim (KAR won the game by 6 wickets)

Bowling first, Karnataka bowled out Sikkim for mere 117 as Sumit Singh top scored with 42. Koushik, Gopal and Gowtham picked 3 wickets each. Chasing 118, Karnataka got home in the 25th over. Mayank Agarwal top scored with 54* off 46 balls with 7 fours, while Nikin Jose was not out 46 from 52 balls.

Maharashtra vs Mizoram (MAH won the game by 183 runs)

Rahul Tripathi scored his 3rd ton on the row for Maharashtra. Tripathi was the top scorer for Maharashtra with 107 off 98 balls with 8 fours and 3 sixes. Ankit Bawne with 95 and Azim Kazi with 67 helped Maharashtra reach 341 from the 50 overs.

Mizoram ended their innings at 158/8 from 50 overs with Sreevats Goswami top scoring with 35. Under-19 world cup winner, Vicky Ostwal picked 4/29 from his 10 overs with the ball.

Rajasthan vs Meghalaya (RAJ win the game by 296 runs)

Rajasthan batted first and scored a whopping 390 from their 50 overs. The top score of the innings was by Aditya Garwal who scored 149* off 70 balls with 18 fours and 7 sixes. There were half centuries by opener Abijit Tomar (77), Lomror with 57 and skipper Ashok Menaria with 70.

3 wickets each by Ravi Bishnoi and Shubham Sharma and 2 wickets for Sahil Dhiwan and Salman Khan bowled out Meghalaya for 94. Larry Sangma was the lead scorer with 20 off 45 balls for Meghalaya.

Bengal vs Services (BEN win the game by 47 runs)

It was yet another high scoring contest as over 750 runs were scored at Ranchi. Bengal batting first, scored 426 runs on the board. Openers Sudip Gharami and captain Abhimanyu Eeswarn scored centuries. Gharami scored 162 off 129 balls with 15 fours and 7 sixes, while the skipper scored 122 off 123 balls with 9 fours and a six. Shahbaz Ahmed then flexed his arms to score 28 ball 59 with 4 fours and 5 sixes.

Chasing an unlikely 427 to win, Services more than made a match out of it before falling short by 47 runs. Arjun Sharma top scored with 75 off 62 balls, while 4 more Services batters hit half centuries. Shubham Rohilla (57), Anshul Gupta (51), Rajat Paliwal (65) and D. Lohchab (58) helped services reach 379 for 9. Shahbaz Ahmed picked 4 wickets, while Pramanik picked 3.

Jharkhand vs Delhi (JHA win the game by 5 wickets)

Delhi batted first and scored 259/5 from their 50 overs. Ayush Badoni top scored with 91 not out off 69 balls with 9 fours and 4 sixes. Nitish Rana 51 and Yash Dhull with 49 were the other contributors.

Captain Virat Singh scored 116 not out off 128 balls with 14 fours and 2 sixes as he got support from Kumar Kushagra with 49, and Saurabh Tiwari with 32 as Jharkhand won the game with 7 balls to spare.

Assam vs Vidarbha (ASM win the game by 7 wickets)

Assam won the toss and chose to bowl and restricted Vidarbha to 261 from their 50 overs. Akshay Wadkar top scored with 69, while Apoorva Wankhede with 41 and Ganesh Satish scored 36.

Chasing 262, opener Kunal Saikia scored 65 off 89 balls while Riyan Parag scored 55 not out off 50 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes. Assam won the game with 15 ball to spare to keep their good run going.

Mumbai vs Puducherry (MUM win the game by 9 wickets)

Mumbai raced home to a 9 wicket win in the 25th over as they swept aside the Puducherry challenge. Shams Mulani did the damage with the ball with 3/45, while Tushar Deshpande and Mohit Avasthi picked 2 wickets each. Ankit Sharma top scored for Puducherry with 79 off 84 balls as they were bowled out for 139.

Jaiswal got off to a great start and stayed not out on 73 off 77 balls with 7 fours and 2 sixes, while Shaw scored 39 off 39 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. Jaffer was not out on 30 ball 24 with 2 fours.

Chhattisgarh vs Goa (CHG win the game by 41 runs)

Batting first, Chhattisgarh scored 226/8 with fifties by captain Harpreet Singh Bhatia (77) and 63 by Shubham Agarwal. R. Naik was the lead wicket taker with 4/29, while Tendulkar and Garg picked 2 wickets each.

Ishan Gadekar top scored with 67 off 87 balls while Darshan Misal scored 28 but that wasn’t enough as Goa was all out for 185. Sumit Ruikar picked 3 wickets while Majumdar and Agarwal picked 2 wickets each.

UP vs Manipur (UP win the game by 8 wickets)

3 wickets by Ankit Rajpoot and 2 wicket hauls by Kartik Tyagi and Karan Sharma bowled out Manipur for 132. KP Singh top scored for Manipur with 44 from 49 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes.

Chasing 133 to win, UP got home with 30 plus overs to go as Madhav Kaushik stayed not out on 75 off 54 balls, while Priyam Garg scored 39 not out.

Andhra vs Haryana (AND win the game by 3 wickets)

Haryana batting first posted 258 for 7 on the board thanks to 85 by opener Yuvraj Singh. Nishant Sidhu with 39 and Shivam Chauhan with 37 were the other contributors, while wicket keeper Kapil Hooda scored a breezy 26 balls 38.

Chasing 259 to win, Ricky Bhui scored 112 not out off 98 balls with 9 fours and 5 sixes. Opener Abhishek Reddy was the 2nd highest scorer with 46 as Andhra won with 7 balls to spare.

Saurashtra vs Tripura (SAU win the game by 4 wickets)

Rajat Dey’s 25 and Bishal Ghosh with 24 top scorer as Saurashtra bowled out Tripura for 133. Unadkat picked 3 wickets, while Sakariya and Mankad picked 2 each.

Chasing just 134 for a win, Saurashtra huffed and puffed to a 4 wicket win. At one stage Saurashtra were 22 for 4 before becoming 75 for 6. Arpit Vasavada with 51 not out and 32 by Parth Bhut helped Saurashtra get home to the win with 13 overs to spare.

TN vs Arunachal Pradesh (TN win the game by 435 runs)

The game of the day which into the record books saw Tamil Nadu score 506/2 from their 50 overs. Sai Sudarshan and Jagadeesan added 418 runs for the 1st wicket as Sudarshan scored 154 off 102 balls with 19 fours and 2 sixes. Jagadeesan scored 277 off 141 balls with 25 fours and 15 sixes. The Baba twins both scored an identical 31.

Chasing an impossible 507 to win, Arunachal Pradesh were bowled out for 71. It was Manimaran Siddharth who did the damage with the ball as he picked 5/12 from his 7.4 overs.

Baroda vs Uttarakhand (BAR win the game by 6 wickets)

Varun Aaron’s 4/37 and 3 wickets for Lukman Meriwala bowled out Uttarakhand for 109. D. Negi top scored with 50 off 67 balls with 5 fours and a six. Chasing 110 to win, Baroda got home with 28 overs to spare as Vishnu Solanki top scored with 28 not out.

Hyderabad vs Gujarat (HYD win the game by 4 wickets)

Gujarat batted first and scored 248/9, thanks to century by Kaithan Patel. The opener scored 109 off 136 balls with 10 fours and 3 sixes. Chasing 249 for a win, Rohit Rayudu the Hyderabad opener scored 109 off 125 balls with 11 fours and 2 sixes, while Tilak Varma scored 65 as Hyderabad won the game with an over to spare.

Punjab vs Odisha (Pun win the game by 5 wickets)

Odisha batting first scored a competitive 251 on the board. Kartik Biswal top scored with 107 off 112 balls with 10 fours and a six, while Biplab Samantray scored 51 off 52 balls with 4 fours and a six.

Mandeep Singh with 91 off 98 balls with 10 fours saw Punjab romp home to an easy win in the 47th over. Prayash Singh with 4/51 was the lead wicket taker for Odisha.

Chandigarh vs HP (CHD win the game by 5 wickets)

Current holders Himachal Pradesh have been knocked out after suffering yet another defeat. Ekant Sen with 116 off 104 balls helped HP reach 302 from their 50 overs.

Arslan Khan scored another century as he scored 107 off 104 balls with 5 fours and 4 sixes, while Ankit Rana (58) and Gaurav Puri (57) got Chandigarh over the line with a ball to spare.

MP vs Nagaland –

Yash Dubey scored an unbeaten 195 off 150 balls with 19 fours and 4 sixes, while Himanshu Mantri scored 61 ball 73 to help MP reach 424. Rajat Patidar scored 29 balls 50 with 3 fours and 3 sixes.

4 wickets by Shubham Sharma and 2 wickets each for Kuldeep Sen and Kumar Kartikeya bowled out Nagaland for 103.

Bihar vs Kerala (KER win the game by 9 wickets)

Kerala bowled well to skittle Bihar out for 201 with Sijomon picking 4/39, while Akhil Scaria picked 3 wickets. Sakibul Gani top scored with 69 off 103 balls.

Rohan Kunnummal scored yet another blistering century as he scored 75 ball 107 not out with the help of 12 fours and 4 sixes. P. Rahul scored 83 from 63 balls with 9 fours and 3 sixes as Kerala romped to an easy win in the 25th over.
