Ben Stokes left stunned with a terrific ball –
English captain Ben Stokes was batting on 30 off 37 balls and seemed in a mood to dominate the Pakistani attack. Stokes had hit 3 fours and a six in his innings as the English team was trying to negate the early damage done by Abrar Ahmed.
The leg spinner was bowling over the wicket when he pitched the ball in the leg stump line to Stokes. This broke the 61 run stand between Stokes and Jacks as the English captain made his way back to the hut.

Ahmed began his 1st day in Test Cricket by picking the first 5 wickets to fall before lunch. He first sent back Zak Crawley bowled for 19, then got the big wicket of Ben Duckett for 63. Ahmed then got the wicket of Joe Root LBW for 8, followed by the wicket of Pope for 60 off 61 balls.
The 5th wicket came when he had Harry Brook caught by Nawaz for 9 before getting the wicket of Stokes to make it 6. The 7th wicket was Will Jacks who was out for 31 when he was trapped LBW. Just then it looked as if Ahmed will go on to script history with a ten wicket haul but Zahir Mahmood picked the final 3 wickets to dampen the hopes of anything of such happening.
