Pakistan hopped over to Netherlands to play a short 3 match ODI series and won all the 3 games. Pakistan on Sunday, won the 3rd game of the series by a close 9 runs after the home team had given them a massive scare. Pakistan held on to a 9 run win after being bundled out for a mere 9 runs. The highlight of the game was Pakistani captain, Babar who was not only in form with the bat but also gave the netizens a hilarious after the end of the game.

The story as it happened –

Babar Azam was a happy skipper as he had led his team to 9 wicket win to take the series against Netherlands with a 3-0 margin. The Pakistani captain was the topic of discussion for his mistake during the post match interaction. Azam instead of saying Netherlands called them Scotland. Azam had said “We tried our bench strength. Early on, the ball wasn’t coming on well. We were short in the first innings. But credit to the Scotland bowlers who bowled very well, We are happy as a team. All credit to boys. They bowled very well in the second innings. He’s (Naseem) bowling very well with the new ball and in the death overs. Wasim also bowling well. And Dahani”

Azam scores 91 to help Pakistan reach 206 –

Pakistan batted first and lost the wicket of Abdullah Shafique 2. From there Fakhar Zaman and Azam added 55 for the 2nd wicket before, Zaman was out for 26. Agha Salman scored 24 to add 46 further runs with Azam, as Kushdil Shah with 27 towards the end of the innings helped Pakistan reach 206. The top scorer though was Babar Azam who hit 91 off 125 balls with 7 fours and 2 sixes.

Netherlands run Pakistan close –

Chasing 207 to win, Netherlands had their opener Vikramjit Singh score 50 off 85 balls with 7 fours, while Tom Cooper top scorer yet again. Cooper who had scored 60 plus in the first two games yet again top scored with 62 off 105 balls with 4 fours. Naseem Shah picked his first ODI fifer, while Mohammad Wasim Jr picked 4 for 36 to help Pakistan bowl out the Holland side for 197 to take the win by 9 wickets.
