Watch! Barmy Army mocks Virat Kohli again after he falls for 20

n

It has been a terrible 2022 for Virat Kohli as he struggles with his protracted lack of runs. The former India skipper has been under a lot of pressure for his inability to score a century for nearly 3 years now. Kohli came into the final test against England on the back of a miserable TATA IPL 2022 season for RCB. He was rested for the 5 match T20 series against South Africa. Kohli’s bad form is giving the opposition teams, especially their fans a lot to cheer for.

The story as it happened –

Virat Kohli walked into bat at 4 as Vihari went for a wild slash and was caught in the slips by Bairstow off Broad for 11. The former Indian skipper came out with a positive mindset and went for some good looking strokes. When Kohli reached 20 he got a ripper from Stokes, that reared from a length to be caught by Root in the slips for 20. Kohli was out for 11 in the first innings, bowled by Potts, when the ball took edge of the bat, while Kohli was trying to shoulder arms.

Barmy Army taunts Kohli… for the 2nd time in the game –

Kohli has time and again gotten under the skin of the Barmy Army by giving it back as good as he gets. Last year he was seen playing the air trumpet during the Oval Test as India closed in on a win. On Sunday, England’s famous support group took to twitter and posted a video. They could be seen waving Kohli off the field and termed the song “Cheerio”. This was the 2nd occasion Kohli was being mocked by Barmy Army as they had posted a picture early on day 1 to mock his dismissal for 11.

Kohli will hope that he finds his form as he is scheduled to play the 3 match ODI and picked for 2 T20’s against England. As far as this test goes, Kohli will want to win the game and the series and give a Cheerio to England to savor for a long time to come.
