India on Thursday played their first ODI on the short trip of Zimbabwe and beat the hosts comfortably. India chasing 190 to win won the game by 10 wickets as Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill both scored half centuries to coast to an easy win. This was the first ever ODI win as the Indian captain for KL Rahul after his 3 defeats against South Africa earlier this year. One of the other players who was under keen watch was none other than Deepak Chahar who was making a comeback to side after nearly 6 months away from the Indian team.

Deepak Chahar leaves the fans happy at the end of the game –

Deepak Chahar last played for India during the T20 series at home against West Indies. He then got injured and what was supposed to be a few weeks away from the game, turned into nearly half year away from the game. Deepak Chahar was the star player during the ten wicket win over the home team during the first ODI at Harare. The fans, both Indian and Zimbabwean were happy to see the Indian team touring them after 6 years.

Vimal Kumar a noted journalist who has been bringing exclusive videos on his YouTube channel since the West Indies tour, showed the humane side of the Indian players. Deepak Chahar was seen interacting with the fans who had come to watch the games. the 30 year old was seen clicking pictures with the Indian fans who had come to watch the Indian team play. During the course of the video, the Indian pacer was seen interacting with a few female fans and they couldn’t control their happiness when they got their pictures clicked with Chahar. They also spoke about their happiness after their selfies.

India dominate Zimbabwe –

India won the toss and chose to bowl first and got the home team all out for 189 as Deepak Chahar picked 3 wickets with the new ball. Siraj got one wicket, as Axar Patel and Prasidh Krishna got 3 wickets each. Chakabva scored 35, while Evans and Ngarva scored 34 and 33 to help Zimbabwe reach 189. Chasing 190 to win, India did not break sweat as Gill and Dhawan scored half centuries to win the game by 10 wickets to take a 1-0 lead in the series.
