Watch! Deepak Chahar loses his cool and abuses Mohammad Siraj at Indore

N

India and South Africa finished their 3 match T20 series with the home side winning it 2-1. South Africa on Tuesday won the final game by 49 runs to win the 3rd game and take home the consolation win. India, had already rested Virat Kohli and KL Rahul before the T20 World Cup. The game saw few changes done to the batting line up. But the worry as far as the bowling still remains.

Chahar fumes in anger before having a go at Siraj –

Rilee Rossouw had the Indian bowlers on his target for scoring 2 ducks in the first two games. The left hander batting at 3 scored his first T20I century for South Africa. During the course of his knock, Rossouw flicked a ball down to the leg side boundary. Siraj first took the catch then much to the horror of everyone had stepped on the ropes. Captain Rohit Sharma couldn’t react, but Deepak Chahar was caught on camera abusing Siraj.

Rohit Sharma and Iyer fall early -

Chasing 228 at Indore wasn’t going to be easy but one couldn’t rule out the Indians. Rabada got the first wicket when Rohit Sharma inside edged him for a duck. Shreyas Iyer replacing Virat Kohli was sent to bat at 3. Iyer managed just a single from 4 balls before falling LBW to Parnell as India were reduced to 4/2.

Pant and DK provide a quick fiery display before perishing –

Rishabh Pant turned 25 on Tuesday, with the bat he was seen dishing out the party as he scored 20 runs from 5 ball off Lungi Ngidi. Pant then fell to last ball of Ngidi after scoring 27 off 14 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes. Dinesh Karthik was sent it at 4 and he amazed the crowd with his hitting. DK scored 46 off mere 21 balls before playing and missing a switch hit to be bowled by Keshav Maharaj. DK hit 4 fours and 4 sixes in his innings.

Indian middle order folds cheaply –

It seemed every Indian batter wanted to hit out or get out and Surya Kumar Yadav hit a six before falling next ball to Pretorius for 8. Harshal Patel hit 17 off 14 balls with 2 fours and a six as he fell to Ngidi caught by Miller while going for a big shot. Axar Patel was caught behind by De Kock off Parnell for 9, while Ashwin was out for 2 caught by Rabada off Maharaj while going for a big shot to leave India at 120/8.

Chahar and Umesh Yadav fight back –

The Indian fans were given reasons to cheer as Deepak Chahar and Umesh Yadav added 48 runs for the 9th wicket. Chahar was at his aggressive best with the bat as he scored 31 off 17 balls with 3 sixes and 2 fours. Chahar was out to Pretorius caught by Miller while trying to go for another six. It was Pretorius who finished the innings when he had Siraj caught by Miller to give the South African his 3rd catch to claim the 49 run win.
