The day is finally here as the Indian and South African cricket fans are set to view their teams play the 5th game at Bangalore. The series is tied at 2-2 after both the teams have played some amazing cricket. Bavuma’s side won the first two contests before the men in blue led by Pant won the next two games. The 5th game at Bangalore will witness some big hits and runs on a ground which has been a traditional graveyard for bowlers. South African win would mean they have kept their amazing record against India alive.

The story as it happened –

India lost the toss for the 5th time in a row as South Africa elected to bowl first. Bavuma who was injured was replaced by Maharaj as the captain. India went in with the same team again , while the visitors made 3 changes. Stubbs, Hendricks and Rabada came into the team, as Jansen and Shamsi along with Bavuma were out. The match saw delayed start as the rains came down and there was a 50 minute delay to the start as an over was taken off to make it a 19 over per side game.

Groundsman attempt for Selfie –

The Indian openers, Ishan Kishan and Ruturaj Gaikwad were getting ready for battle, before the rains came down. The two then retreated to the dugout and were waiting for the rains to stop. That’s when the official broadcasters Star Sports India spotted a groundsman trying to click a selfie with Gaikwad. A fan took to twitter to post the visual and it was very blurry, but the attempt to click a selfie was visible.

India lose two early wickets before rain comes down again –

Ishan Kishan began with a bang as he smashed Maharaj for two sixes early in the game. The left hander has been in prime form with the bat for India this series. Just when Kishan looked dangerous, Nigidi cleaned him up for 15 off 7 balls with 2 sixes. Gaikwad was out next to Ngidi for 10 off 12 balls with a four to his name. As rains came down India were 28 for 2, from 3.3 overs with Iyer yet to open his account and Pant on 1.
