India’s short tour of Ireland is over in a jiffy as India won the two match T20 series 2-0. Hardik Pandya made a good start to his captaincy debut by impressing with his skills as the captain. The Indian players now hop across to England as they lay in wait for the three lions for the white ball series. Post the completion of the test match starting 1st July, India are set to play England in 3 matches of ODI and T20 with most of the players set to travel to England.

Crowd roar their approval as Sanju Samson gets drafted in –

Ruturaj Gaikwad doesn’t seem to have the rub of the green going his way as yet another injury laid him low. The 25 year old had injured himself during the 1st T20 on Sunday and did not come out bat. Deepak Hooda was sent in as opener and he scored a breezy 47 not out in India’s 7 wicket win. Hardik Pandya won the toss and chose to bat first and made three changes. Ravi Bishnoi came in for Chahal, while Harshal Patel came in for Avesh Khan. The biggest cheer was reserved for Sanju Samson who came in for the Ruturaj Gaikwad. Even Hardik Pandya couldn’t stop laughing at the reaction the crowd gave Samson.

Sanju Samson makes it count –

Sanju Samson wasn’t just in the XI, but he was also opening the batting for India. The 27 year old RR skipper made it count with a deft touch as he caressed the first ball of the game for a 4. Samson was playing his 14th match for India after having made his debut 7 years ago under Rahane on the tour to Zimbabwe. In the first 13 games he had scored a mere 174 with a best of 39 which came against Sri Lanka early this year. Samson though made the best use of chances he got as he scored his first half century in T20 cricket for India. The moment he scored his 50 there was a huge applause from the crowd, Samson though stayed muted in his celebration. Mark Adair dismissed Samson bowled for 77 from 42 balls with 9 crisp fours and 4 huge sixes.
