Watch! Marcus Stoinis accuses Mohammad Hasnain of chucking on live TV as twitter reacts angrily

Cricket is called a gentleman’s game for a reason as the game still upholds the spirit of the game. The game has seen a few times where it has been bought into disrepute, be it Match-Fixing or Spot Fixing or doping allegations or for throwing. There have been many bowlers who have been called for questionable action. The latest has been Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain. The youngster who can bowl at a good speed has just made his return after undergoing work on his action after he was reported for suspect action.

The story as it happened –

Mohammad Hasnain is currently playing in 100 in England and recently was part of the game which had Australian, Marcus Stoinis at the other end. Stoinis was caught off Hasnain for 27 ball 37. The right hander while walking back to the pavilion was seen gesticulating to the dugout that the bowler was chucking the ball. This action of Stoinis was caught on live TV and the clip of the action by the Australian has made its way to social media and spread like wildfire.

Not the first time –

This is not the first time that the Pakistani bowler has been called out on live TV for his action. Late last year, Moises Henriques who is the skipper of Sydney Sixers had questioned the legality of Bowler’s action during the Big Bash League. Henriques was quoted as saying “Right from the first game he played and through to the tournament, it seemed that there was a few question marks there, I didn’t have the protractor out. I guess from my point of view, we knew already it had been reported. I feel like the umpires are a little bit hamstrung in terms of what they can actually do on the cricket field, because they’re so worried about backlash and public opinion. I could definitely argue that what he was doing was not in the spirit of the game,”

Twitter reacts angrily –

Once the entire incident came to light, A noted Pakistani cricket commentator and social media voice by the name Saj Sadiq took to twitter and wrote “Disappointing reaction from Marcus Stoinis after he was dismissed by Mohammad Hasnain. How about sticking to playing cricket and letting the officials do the job”. Even Aseem Rafiq who was in the middle of a racism battle with Yorkshire called the event shocking while taking to Twitter.
