The 2nd test match between Pakistan and England is seeing the game progress at a rapid pace. After two days played the Multan cricket stadium and the fans have seen 2 completed innings as Pakistan now have a fight on their hands.
The home team at the end of day’s play on Saturday have seen the visiting English side take a commanding lead of 281 runs with 5 wickets in hand. It was a day to remember for the English bowlers as the home team self exploded during their 1st innings.
The story so far –
England had won the toss and chose to bat first and were bowled out for 281 in the 1st innings. Abrar Ahmed was the star of the show with figures of 7/114 in England’s 1st innings. Pakistan ended the day at 107/2 with Babar Azam and Saud Shakeel at the crease.
Jack Leach leaves Mohammad Rizwan clueless –
Mohammad Rizwan has been in form with the bat in the white ball formats. In the test format Rizwan hasn’t been able to score runs. On Saturday the wicket keeper batter struggled his way to 10 runs of 43 balls.
Rizwan was finding it tough to score runs when he was done in for spin by Jack Leach. The English left arm spinner pitched the ball on the middle and leg stump and saw the mile a bit to hit the off stump of Rizwan. This left Pakistan in a spot of bother at 165/5.
From 142/2 to 202 all out classic Pakistan collapse –
Pakistan began the day at 107 for 2 and with the score reading 142 they lost the wicket of Babar Azam for 75. The next to go was Saud Shakeel for 63 which was soon followed by Rizwan. Jack Leach then struck soon when he had Mohammad Nawaz for 1. Agha Salman, Mohammad Ali and Zahid Mahmood fell in quick succession to leave Pakistan at 179/9.
Faheem Ashraf with 22 though took Pakistan past 200 before falling to Mark Wood to give England a lead of 79. For the English it was Leach who did the damage with the ball with 4 wickets, as Wood and Root picked 2 wickets, while Anderson and Robinson picked a wicket each

Rizwan’s poor performance continues in test. He hasn’t been a match winner as he has been in t20s for Pakistan. It won’t be bad to try out Sarfaraz in test whose been benched forever #PAKvsENG

Out of form in test for a very long time but still playing every single test 🙄 @SarfarazA_54 who had a very good first class season is sitting on the bench. Atleast if you don't want to drop Rizwan you can give him rest🤷#PakvsEng2022 #PAKvsENG #PakvsEngland pic.twitter.com/BPEjQDzJ5V

Rizwan is turning out to be an astronomical failure in test cricket.

THAT IS OUT - Another Pakistan batter hits Leach for four and then is dismissed next ball. Rizwan (10) goes back and is beaten on the outside edge by one that pitched and turned to hit middle and off. Good ball. 165-5
