India and Bangladesh are set to conclude their short series with the 2nd and final test starting on Thursday. The 1st test at Chittagong was won by India by 188 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the series. This win coupled with the 2 day loss by South Africa to Australia has taken India to 2nd spot in the ICC World Test Championship table.

The story so far –

India and Bangladesh are now in Dhaka the capital of Bangladesh to play the 2nd test. The home team has had issues with its batting in the longest format of the game for a long time. This was again evident during the 1st test when Bangladesh were bowled out for 150 in the 1st innings. Only Zakir Hasan and Shakib Al Hasan showed some fight with the bat.

Mushfiqur Rahim seeks Rahul Dravid’s help –

Veteran Bangladeshi wicket-keeper and batter Mushfiqur Rahim was seen having a word with Indian coach Rahul Dravid. 45 second video was uploaded on Twitter by an handle called Mushfiqur Rahim Fan Club.

The 35 year old could be seen discussing some finer aspects of batting with the Indian coach. Rahim, was 1st seen saying something to Dravid who was giving him a patient hearing. Rahul Dravid then was seen showing him some techniques before the two were all smiles and posed for a picture.


KL Rahul doubtful for 2nd test?

Reports coming out of Dhaka state that KL Rahul was injured during the batting nets session after he was struck on the arm. The Indian batting coach, Vikram Rathour has come out and said that the blow isn’t serious. In case Rahul misses out, Cheteshwar Pujara is expected to lead the side.

This will make Pujara the 5th test captain in this calendar year. The year started with Rahul leading during the Johannesburg test followed by Kohli in the next game. Rohit Sharma led the side when Kohli stepped down from captaincy of test cricket before Bumrah led India during the England test in place of injured Rohit Sharma.
