The story as it happened โ€“

Prithvi Shaw has been out of favor with the Indian selectors for over a year now. Shaw, last played for India in July 2021. Chanceless ton by Shaw โ€“

Assam won the toss and put Mumbai into bat first. Shaw opened the batting with Aman Hakim Khan. The Mumbai skipper scored 134 runs off 61 balls with 13 fours and 9 sixes. Jaiswal scored 42 off 30 balls with 5 fours and a six as Mumbai scored a massive 230 on the board.

The funniest moment of the day happened when Shaw was batting on 111 and was facing off against Roshan Alam. The left arm spinner bowled outside off stump when he saw Shaw step out. The batter knew that he had missed the line of the ball and played it hilariously and in a funny manner to prevent getting himself stumped out.

Shaw looking to make a comeback to the Indian side โ€“
