Watch! Rishabh Pant has a hearty laugh as India’s DRS woes come true once again

Kerala witnessed an amazing spell of fast bowling as the Indian team had the South Africans under their control. Temba Bavuma led side could only score a mere 106 runs for the loss of 8 wickets from the 20 overs that they played. Arshdeep Singh, Deepak Chahar and Harshal Patel did the trick with the ball as the Indian team got off to a great start with the ball in the 3 match T20 series on Tuesday.

With South Africa struggling at 9 for 5, the man that was tasked with taking the team to a decent total was Aiden Markram. The right handed batter played some crisp shots to put some wheels in motion for the South African batting. With the score reading 30 for 5 and a partnership building with Parnell, Markram poked at a ball from Arshdeep and this prompted both Kohli and SKY to appeal with enthusiasm for DRS and urged Indian captain Rohit Sharma to go upstairs.

The DRS appeal took a long time to be displayed and there was a little pause in play. The 3rd umpire did not spot any edge as the snick-o-meter found a flat line and Markram stayed on to survive. The Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was seen having a laugh with wicket keeper Rishabh Pant. It seemed as if the lost DRS did not deter the Indian captain.

Indian seamers dismantle South African top order –

Indian seamers Arshdeep Singh and Deepak Chahar had the South Africans in a huge spot of bother when they reduced them to 9 for 5. Bavuma was out for 0, followed by De Kock for 1. Rossouw, Miller and Stubbs were each out for 1st ball ducks as Arshdeep and Deepak Chahar wrecked havoc. Arshdeep picked 3 wickets while Deepak Chahar picked 2.
South Africa reach 107 after Maharaj scores career best 41-

Keshav Maharaj batting at 8 scored his career best of 41 in T20I cricket. Maharaj scored 41 off 34 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. Markram was the 2nd top scorer with 25 while Parnell scored 24. Arshdeep ended with 2 wickets while Chahar and Harshal picked 2 wickets each. Axar had another good outing with the ball as he picked 1/16 from his 4 overs.
