h

Rohit Sharma over the last few weeks might have grown some grey hairs as the Indian captain. The 35-year-old saw his proud home record and bilateral record stay intact with yet another series win. India won the 3 match T20I series against South Africa by 2-1 margin. India lost the final T20I to South Africa by 49 run margin at the Holkar Stadium at Indore.

Rohit and DK friendship over the years –

Dinesh Karthik and Rohit Sharma have played a lot of cricket together. Right from the age group levels to the national set up the duo have spent lots of time in the field. The pair are also thick friends and share a different camaraderie with each other. Dinesh Karthik was the wicket keeper when Rohit Sharma first became the captain of Mumbai Indians leading them to their 1st title in 2013.

The Bromance caught on camera –

Rohit Sharma might have been upset at losing the final game on Tuesday, but he must have been pleased for Dinesh Karthik and his exploits with the bat. Post the game, DK could be seen clapping while Rohit Sharma gives him a friendly slap across his back. The BCCI too put out a small video and wrote on twitter “a dash of laughter does not hurt after the series win! #TeamIndia captain @imr045 and @dineshkarthik share a lighter moment”

Dinesh Karthik the top scorer for India –

The South Africans had scored a massive 227 on the board with 100 from Rilee Rossouw and half century by Quinton De Kock. In the absence of Kohli and Rahul, the Indian team took the chance to experiment with Dinesh Karthik elevated to bat at 4. The 37 year old ended up being the top scorer as he hit 46 off mere 21 balls with 4 fours and equal amount of sixes. DK hit some of his cute shots which travelled for sixes, while his powerful shots along the ground left the South Africans rooted to their spot.
