Watch! Rohit Sharma loses his cool at Washington Sundar and abuses him


Bangladesh played the best ODI of 2022 to beat India by 1 wicket with 4 overs to go. Mehidy Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman added over 50 runs for the final wicket to come from behind to win the 1st ODI on Sunday. The match was played at the Sher – E – Bangla stadium as the bowlers held their sway.

The game on Sunday will go down the memory lane for every Bangladeshi fan as a watermark moment in their ODI history. The low scoring saw the pendulum swing from one team to another.

Rohit Sharma caught abusing Washington Sundar –

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is generally a cool customer on the field. The heat of the battle got on to the 35 year old Indian skipper. Rohit, was seen abusing Sundar during the tense final few moments of the Bangladeshi chase.

The incident happened in the 42nd over with Bangladesh still needing 29 runs for a win. Hasan who was batting well top edged the ball towards the 3rd man, as Sundar did not make any attempt to take the catch. Seeing this Rohit Sharma lost his cool and was seeing uttering the world “B***C***”

Indian bowlers stage a fightback –

Defending 187 to win, India saw the home team reach 128 for 4 with Mahmudullah and Rahim the experience duo batting. That’s when Thakur had the veteran Mahmudullah LBW out for 14. Siraj struck next ball when he had the leg stump of Rahim uprooted for 18.

Kuldeep Sen making his India debut then struck twice in one over first having Afif Hossain caught for 6, then having Ebadot Hossain hit wicket out for duck.

Mehidy Hasan plays a lone hand –

At 136 for 9, the Indian team were all but home for a famous win despite scoring only 186. Bangladesh still had to score 51 runs from 63 balls to win the game and that’s when Mehidy Hasan started his magic.

He went after Deepak Chahar and smacked him for 18 runs in over to change the course of the game. The Indians were sloppy in the field as KL Rahul dropped an easy catch to give Hasan a life. The 25 year old lifted the ball over the field to spark off crazy celebrations in the stands and in the ground. This win gave Bangladesh their 6th ODI win over India and have take 1-0 lead in the 3 match series.
