India and Pakistan have a rivalry which surpasses even the Ashes, as the emotions run high. Both Indians and Pakistani fans support their team with all fervor and the game on Sunday between the two teams was no different. During such high intensity games, the media houses and news channels in particular also get behind their teams as they put out hype materials for the games. some of it are interesting, but some of it are dramatic to say the least. One such program got former Pakistani pace Shoaib Akhtar on board and what happened next was nothing short of drama.
The story as it happened –
Years ago, former Indian opener Virender Sehwag was in his elements during a show which was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan. The former India batter said that Akhtar was imploring him to go for the hook shot. Sehwag shot back at him to ask Sachin Tendulkar to hit him. Sachin hit the Pakistani fast bowler for a six which incidentally was a hook shot and sailed all the way for a six. Sehwag then muttered to the Pakistani the now infamous “Baap-Baap Hota Hai” jibe.
Shoaib Akhtar gets angry on Indian journalist –
Shoaib Akhtar was on a Indian news channel post the end of the game, which was won by India. The host asked the former Pakistani bowler “Woh toh pata hain hume ki Viru ne aapko kaha tha ki 'Baap baap hota he, aur beta, beta'. Uske ilava aise kuch incident jo kisiko na pata ho aur aap aaj bara exposé karte hai?”. To which the former Pakistani bowler replied and said “First thing, agar yeh cheez usne mere muh pe boli hoti toh woh bachta nahi. Mujhe nahi pata usne kab kaha yeh aur kis waqt kaha. In fact ,maine khud usse ekbar pucha tha ki aise koi statement di hai ki nahi. Usne seedha bola ‘nahi’. Dusra baat yeh hai, aap jo program kijiye, aap zarur baatein kijiye, bara khusi ka mauka he but kaam qabil e izzat ho.

The former Pakistani pacer wasn’t really happy with the constant questions of him being asked the same question again and again. The right arm pace legend wanted to put an end to it and he said “Main sabka izzat karta hu, aap logon ki izzat karta hu. Bohut badi fan following hai India mein. Aur main humesha koshis karta hu ki aise baat na karu jisme do mulk ke beech zyada faasle badhe. And I'm not liking this one bit. I'm being very honest with you. Usne yeh kaha, usne yeh kaha. Let's come back to cricket. Bohot si ache baat kar sakte hai. I request you. Jis tarah yeh program hota he woh ache nehi lagta mujhe, wohi cheez baar baar repeat karna”
