At the end of 7 overs, Tamil Nadu were 108/1 from 7 overs scoring runs at 15.4 runs per over. The visiting side needed just 36 runs from 4 overs at 9 runs per over. That’s when Anil Chaudhary along with Tapan Sharma decided to call off the match due to bad light. The Tamil Nadu players, specially Jagadeesan couldn’t believe it. With the decision already taken, the players could only saunter back to thunderous applause. The heartbreak was visible not only for players but also for Dinesh Karthik.
