Yash Dayal gives Hardik Pandya props for his amazing captaincy during the IPL

Indian Premier League is the biggest domestic T20 league in the world without a shadow of doubt. The league which started in 2008, has seen a lot of Indian players get a chance to make their way into the men in blue. The league is also a platform for many out of favour India players to stage a comeback into the team. Hardik Pandya is one such example, as the 28 year old had a great performance with both the bat and ball. Pandya was given the chance to captain for the first time when he led the newly inducted Gujarat Titans to a title win.

Yash Dayal praises Hardik Pandya –

24 year old left arm pacer from UP, Yash Dayal managed to impress a lot of people with his bowling. The left arm seamer played 9 games and picked 11 wickets with the ball and was one of the key components for Hardik Pandya and his team. Yash Dayal recently was singing praise for Pandya and his leadership. Speaking to leading cricket website ESPNCRICINFO, Dayal said “ Hardik Pandya is composed and assured, and he understands what to do at each point in the campaign. He is the skipper of a bowling team. If you believe in yourself, he will let you make your own choices. This enhances a bowler’s trust even more. He is, without a doubt, the best leader I have ever played for.”

Yash Dayal reveals Ashish Nehra’s support –

Ashish Nehra became an internet sensation for his cool, calm and collected approach despite the cut throat nature of competition. Nehra, became the first Indian coach to win the IPL title and many have spoken about Nehra’s approach to coaching. The likes of David Miller and Matthew Wade gave kudos to the former India left arm pacer. Speaking about Nehra, the 24 year old said “Ashish Nehra has been a huge supporter of mine since the start. I used to experiment with new a variety of interesting things. But Ashish sir learnt me to be centered and focused, and he tried to teach me some basic intentions of following without putting too much pressure on myself. It is a highly competitive level of cricket, so you must be as well”

Hardik Pandya to lead India –

Pandya scored 483 runs with the bat and pushed himself up the order. The 28 year old showed maturity on the field with the bat. He also began to bowl and picked a few wickets and on occasions clocked well over 140 KPH. Pandya was promoted to the vice captaincy during the recent India versus South Africa series. The move came after Rahul was injured and Pant was elevated to the role of the skipper. India next plays against Ireland in 2 T20 games, Hardik Pandya has been named the captain. This will be the first time he will skipper the side and he will hope to continue the same success he had in IPL for the men in blue.
