TATA IPL 2023 saw some amazing catch with the bat and ball as Chennai took home their 5th title. The season was considered the best by the fans and experts alike. If the action on the field was exciting, there were lot of moments which took the people’s attention specially when it came to off the field. On many of the occasions it was Virat Kohli the former Indian captain who hogged the headlines.

The story so far –

It is no secret that former Indian and BCCI head Sourav Ganguly and Virat Kohli do not share the greatest of equations. The two had a huge falling out post the entire captaincy saga of Virat Kohli. Lot of people had questioned Ganguly’s role as the head of BCCI in Kohli’s stepping down as captain in the ODI and later the test format.

Slip of tongue or another dig at Kohli?

Sourav Ganguly was recently in conversation with noted journalist Vikrant Gupta. The former Indian captain was speaking on a host of topics. One of the topic was the captaincy of Rohit Sharma after India’s latest loss in the WTC final.

Ganguly praised Rohit Sharma and told Vikrant Gupta “IPL jeetna itna aasan nahi hai Virat (It’s not so easy to win IPL, Virat)”. For his part, Vikrant Gupta corrected the former Indian captain for this faux pass. But watching the video many fans wondered if it was a slip of tongue or yet another dig by Sourav Ganguly as Kohli is still to win the IPL title with RCB.
