Indian Cricket: Junaid Khan shows his anger towards India for not touring Pakistan

H

Indian cricket team is set to be busy post the end of TATA Indian Premier League. Rohit Sharma and his men will play against Australia in the World Test Championships final. The biggest ICC showpiece event is the 50 over ICC World Cup which is to be hosted in India later this year. Every cricketer and fan is waiting for the showpiece event to start but there is trouble brewing off the field. India and Pakistan

The story as it happened –

Pakistan was scheduled to host the 2023 Asia Cup but the BCCI had put their foot down and decided not to tour. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are the latest to join BCCI in echoing their reluctance to tour Pakistan to play the 2023 edition of the Asia Cup. This has meant that Pakistan is set to lose the hosting rights. Pakistan are now threatening BCCI to pull out of the World Cup.

Junaid Khan gets angry on BCCI –

Former Pakistan pacer lost his cool at the reluctance of BCCI to tour Pakistan for the 2023 Asia Cup. Speaking to Cricket Pakistan, the left arm pacer said “The situation in Pakistan is good. If other teams are coming, such as Australia, England, South Africa and New Zealand and have no security problems. Then why does India have a problem? What is the reason for this? Are they aliens from another world who have security problems?

Junaid Khan implores ICC to intervene –

The former Pakistan left arm pacer has asked the ICC to step in to solve the issues. The ICC so far has refrained from speaking and getting into the matter. Junaid Khan spoke about Pakistan reaching the top of the ICC rankings. Junaid Khan said “the ICC should look into these issues. Otherwise cricket without Pakistan is impossible. Pakistan is not a small team, just a few days ago, Pakistan was world’s number 1 team and is still among the top 3 teams”

Pakistan to boycott ICC world cup?

With news emerging that Pakistan could lose the hosting rights of the Asia Cup, there is a chance Pakistan could do the impossible. The 1992 champs it seems have threatened to pull out of the ICC world cup if Asia Cup is taken away from them. India and Pakistan are set to face each other on 15th October in the game of the tournament. One wonders how the situation gets handled from here on with ICC, BCCI and PCB involved in this tug of war.
