Indian Cricket: Ravi Bishnoi switches teams and moves to Gujarat for the upcoming season

Indian stars are set to be busy with yet another season of action packed cricket. The international team is set to fly to West Indies for a month long tour. Domestic cricket is also set to begin as the first major tournament is the Duleep Trophy. The tournament begins on 28th with the North Zone taking on North East Zone, while Central take on East Zone.

Ravi Bishnoi changes teams –

22 year old leg spin sensation Ravi Bishnoi is on the move. The Lucknow Super Giants bowler will now be seen playing for Gujarat in the domestic season this year. The youngster was seen sporting the Gujarat domestic jersey. Piyush Chawla the Mumbai Indians leg spinner is already part of the former Ranji Trophy title winners.

Looking to make a strong comeback –

Bishnoi has been part of the Indian team for nearly over a year despite some good performances with the ball. Bishnoi was left out of the squad in shocking circumstances for the World T20 last year despite doing well with the ball in the T20 format all through the year.


Bishnoi’s journey with Rajasthan so far –

Ravi Bishnoi curiously has just played 1 first class game for Rajasthan and picked 2 wickets with the ball. considered a white ball specialist the 22 year old has played 25 List A games and has also played T20 cricket for Rajasthan. In the List A format, Bishnoi has picked 36 wickets.

Asian Games call up on the anvil?

BCCI is set to send a 2nd string Indian team for the Asian Games which is set to be held later this year. With Bishnoi still out of the national reckoning the youngster could be given a call up for the biggest event in Asia. The likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Krunal Pandya and many more who are on the sidelines or looking to make a comeback could be given a call up.
