IPL 2023: Ravi Shastri makes massive statement on Virat Kohli after his recent controversies

TATA IPL 2023 has been one of the most watched seasons in a long time. Action on the field has been exciting for fans. There has been lots of runs with some amazing batting display on offer. The bowling this year has been great as well, with some of the regular’s like Rashid Khan, Mohammad Siraj and newcomers like Tushar Deshpande and Maheesh Pathirana grabbing eyeballs.

Off the field controversies mar the tournament –

Virat Kohli has been under the spotlight this season of TATA IPL. The 34 year old has been in good form with the bat with over 400 runs this season. Kohli’s actions off the field though has raised eyebrows. Former Indian coach and a close confidante of Kohli, Ravi Shastri has made a huge statement on the issues in recent times.

Kohli cautioned by Ravi Shastri –

If there is one man who doesn’t mince his words, its none other than Ravi Shastri. Speaking to ESPN CRICINFO, the former Indian coach had words of caution for Kohli. Shastri said “After the sequence of events last week, someone like a Kohli, someone like a Dhoni…Dhoni knows, he’s a pro, that there is a camera on you and that is because you guys deserve it after what you guys contributed to the game. There will a camera on you, like there was on Sachin Tendulkar.

Ravi Shastri rounds up with advise for Kohli –

After his spat with Gautam Gambhir and other members of the LSG team, there are many people who aren’t happy with the conduct of Kohli. Shastri further said “Remember once the game is over, the camera is on you all the time until you get into that dressing room. You need to be careful, it’s like you are flagged off. If you have that in your mindset…camera, and once the game is over, you will be fine. You can get a lot of brownie points using that camera”

Kohli will be seen playing against Mumbai Indians in a key game for both the teams. The game will be played on Tuesday night at the Wankhede Stadium.
