IPL 2023: Twitter reacts to Aman Khan’s catch to dismiss Faf Du Plessis

Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Faf Du Plessis is winning hearts with his fearless batting. The 39 year old has set the tournament on fire with his aggressive approach and his explosive partnerships with Virat Kohli at the top of the order. The former South African skipper so far has been one of the leading lights with the bat for Bangalore so far.

The story as it happened –

Huge crowd had gathered at the Chinnaswamy Stadium to watch Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore. The game was the 20th of the season with both the teams looking for a win. David Warner won the toss and had no hesitation in asking Bangalore to bat first.

Faf Du Plessis gets off to a blazing start once again –

It was the awesome twosome of Virat Kohli and Faf Du Plessis who opened once again. The former South African captain, was in his elements as he was seen going down the track to put Delhi bowlers under the pump. Du Plessis scored 22 runs in quick time and added 42 for the 1st wicket with Kohli.

Aman Khan’s catch stuns Bangalore crowd –

With each of his bowlers getting smacked around, David Warner turned to his Australian compatriot, Mitchell Marsh. The 31 year old had Du Plessis swinging his bat across the line. While the ball was going at good pace, the long reach of Aman Khan caught the ball to silence the Bangalore crowd. Marsh had sent back the dangerous looking Du Plessis back to the hut.

Happy return with the ball for Marsh –

Mitchell Marsh had left the tournament to go back to Australia to get married. Marsh also dismissed Mahipal Lomror for 26 as he picked 2 wickets for 18 from his two overs with the ball.

Bangalore score 174 –

Virat Kohli with 50 was the lead scorer for Bangalore. 26 by Mahipal Lomror and 24 by Glenn Maxwell were the leading lights with the bat. Shahbaz Ahmed (20) and Anuj Rawat’s 15 led Bangalore to 174 on the board.
