International cricket season isn’t seeing much action as the Indian Premier League is going on in full swing. New Zealand sans some of its best players are touring Pakistan for a 5 match T20 and ODI series. 4th game of the 5 match T20 series was called off due to bad weather which saw Hail Storm. Pakistan lead the Kiwis in the 5 match series with a 2-1 margin. Ahead of the final T20 game there is a video making rounds on social media which has left the fans laughing.

Fan’s hilarious exchange with Shadab Khan –

Shadab Khan is one of the most popular cricketers in Pakistan. The leg spinner was recently captain of the Pakistan team which played against Afghanistan. Recently a video was doing the rounds on social media. A man can be heard saying “I pray for him a lot, what’s your name?


Shadab left embarrassed –

The Pakistan international was taken aback when he heard the fan ask his name , despite saying that he prayed for the cricketer. Shadab said “you pray for me? How do you do that when you don’t even know my name?. Shadab was later heard introducing himself as Rizwan.

Pakistan makes brisk start to the series –

Lahore was the venue for the first 3 T20 games between Pakistan and New Zealand. Pakistan won the 1st game by 88 runs after scoring 182 thanks to 47 each by Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub. 4 wickets by Haris Rauf bowled out New Zealand for 94 with Mark Chapman top scoring with 34.

In the 2nd game, Pakistan scored 192, thanks to century by Babar Azam who scored 101 not out off 58 balls with 11 fours and 3 sixes. Rizwan scored 50 off 34 balls with 6 fours and a six. Mark Chapman again top scored with 65 off 40 balls with 4 fours and 4 sixes as New Zealand scored 154/7 to lose by 38 runs.

New Zealand pulls one back as weather plays spoilsport –

The 3rd game of the series saw New Zealand pull one as they won the game by 4 runs. Tom Latham led the way with 64 off 49 balls with the help of 2 sixes and 7 fours. Daryll Mitchell scored 33 as New Zealand scored 163 on the board. Chasing 164 to win, Pakistan were struggling at 88/7 at one stage. Iftikhar Ahmed with 60 off 27 balls got them back in the game as New Zealand won the game by 4 runs.

The 4th and 5th game were to be played at Rawalpindi but the 4th game was called off due to bad weather as the 5th game will be played on Monday. The first 2 ODI games will be played at Rawalpindi before the final 3 games gets shifted to Karachi.
