H

Cricket fans can be a variety of emotions, some show happiness, some show sadness but all come out to enjoy a day out in the sun. The inaugural season of ILT20 has seen some amazing cricket being played. This has got the crowd on their feet as they have made their presence felt to support their favorite stars. Although one incident on Sunday involving a fan will go down in the folklore of cricketing history as one of the funniest moments.

Fan runs away with the match ball –

Mumbai Indians Emirates took on Desert Vipers on Sunday at Sharjah and the match was rather one sided affair. During the course of the MI Emirates innings, a huge six made its way onto the road. One fan was seen picking up the ball and making a beeline for it. The fan could be seen talking to someone in a car before running away with the match ball.

Another incident in the same game but the result is different –

Kieron Pollard who has been in amazing form with the bat, smashed one out of the ground. This time though the result was different as a fan who was outside the stadium decided to throw the ball back into the ground. It was certainly funny to watch the tale of two fans when the ball was hit out of the ground.

MI emirates maul Vipers bowling –

The only thing that went in the Desert Vipers favor was the toss as they won the toss and chose to bowl. MI Emirates openers Andre Fletcher and Muhammad Waseem then showed their might with a 141 run first wicket stand. Fletcher was out for 50 off 39 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes.

Waseem and Pollard then combined as Waseem fell 11 runs later for 86 off 44 balls with 11 fours and 4 sixes. Najibullah was out for a duck, but Pollard and Mousley then added 89 runs in quick time to help MI Emirates score 241. Kieron Pollard was not out on 50 off 19 balls with 4 fours and 4 sixes.

MI bowlers enable a huge win –

Chasing 242, only 3 Desert Vipers batters could reach double figures. Mark Watt and Tom Curran scored 12, while Colin Munro scored 10. Afghanistan left arm seamer Farooqi picked 3 wickets. Imran Tahir and Zahoor Khan picked 2 each, while Boult, Bravo and Mousley picked a wicket each. The vipers were all out for 84 as MI Emirates won the game by 157 runs to go 3rd in the table.
