Watch! Rilee Rossouw comes up with a unique celebration to celebrate his century

The 2023 season of Pakistan Super League is reaching its business end of the tournament. There are just 3 games left in the league phase of the tournament before the final four stages of the tournament begins. The game on Friday was between Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans. The game was played at the home ground of Peshawar at Rawalpindi.

The story so far –

Babar Azam and his Peshawar side needed a win to stay alive in the tournament and make it to the final 4. Despite the loss on Friday, Peshawar stayed in 4th place with 6 points in their kitty with a game in hand. Their only competition left in the tournament is Quetta who also have 6 points from 9 games. Quetta face Multan on Saturday while Peshawar take on Islamabad on Sunday.

Rilee Rossouw comes up with hilarious celebration to his century –

South African left handed batter, Rilee Rossouw was in his elements as he scored a blistering century on Friday night. Rossouw got to the mark with a single and quickly removed his helmet. The South African got to his century in just 41 balls and then did a little dance which had everyone laughing.


Peshawar get off to a good start yet again –

Babar Azam won the toss and chose to bat first yet again. Sam Ayub who had scored a quick fire 70 a few days ago, shone with the bat yet again. Ayub and Azam added 134 for the 1st wicket in just 70 balls. Usama Mir got the breakthrough when he had Ayub out for 58 off 33 balls with 5 fours and 4 sixes.

Abbas Afridi picks 4 wickets as Peshawar reach 242 –

10 runs after losing their 1st wicket, Peshawar lost the wicket of Babar Azam for 73 off 39 balls with 9 fours and 2 sixes. Medium pacer Abbas Afridi had the Peshawar captain caught behind by Rizwan.

Mohammad Haris then took over the scoring as he scored 35 runs off 11 balls with a four and 4 sixes. Kohler Cadmore scored 38 off 18 with 4 fours and 2 sixes. Abbas Afridi was the star with the ball picking 4/39 from his 4 overs as Peshawar scored massive 242.

Multan lose two early wickets –

Chasing 243 to win, skipper Mohammad Rizwan was out for 7, while fellow opener Shan Masood was out for 5. Arshad Iqbal got the wicket of Rizwan, while Afghanistan bowler Mujeeb Ur Rahman got the wicket of Masood.

Pollard and Rossouw join forces –

At 28/2, Multan were in early trouble, but Kieron Pollard walked in at number 4 to join Rilee Rossouw. The pair added 99 for the 3rd wicket in just 43 balls as Pollard was the main destroyer. Pollard scored 52 off 25 balls with 3 fours and 5 sixes, before falling to Wahab Riaz.

Rossouw century takes Multan to an easy win –

Tim David joined Rossouw with the South African taking over the scoring. The pair added 21 for the 4th wicket before David was out for 2. Kushdil Shah scored 18 off 14 balls, while Anwar Ali scored 24 off 8 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes. Rossouw scored 121 off 51 balls with 12 fours and 8 sixes. Multan won the game with 5 balls to go and 4 wickets in hand.
