Surya Kumar Yadav the 32 year old was given his test cap on Thursday to join KS Bharat as the newest additions to the Indian test team. Surya also became the first ever player to make his debut across all 3 formats after the age of 30. Yadav swept his 2nd ball in test cricket for a four to get off to a dream start.
Nathan Lyon leaves Yadav speechless –
Indian team was struggling to face the trial by spin by the duo of Murphy and Lyon. Yadav went for a cover drive with Lyon bowling around the wicket. Much to the shock of the 32 year old, the ball came in sharply only for the off stump to take a beating and Yadav was back on his way to the hut for 8.

Rohit Sharma stands tall –
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was the sole man standing between a huge Indian lead and Australian comeback. The 35 year old playing his first ever home test against Australia at home scored his 9th test ton for India. Sharma also became the first ever player who scored a ton across formats as player and captain. Rohit got to this mark when he came down the track and chipped the bowler for a four.
Kohli’s horror run continues –
Speaking of former India skipper, Virat Kohli, was again out for 12 when he was caught down the leg side. Kohli played the 1st ball after lunch and got a tickle down the leg side. Carey went down low and caught the ball to give Murphy a huge wicket on debut and his 4th overall.
