Watch! Surya Kumar Yadav hit a mesmerizing six to leave fans crazy

India continued their dominance over West Indies during the 1st ODI which was played on Thursday. The game was played at the Kensington Oval at Barbados and it was the first of the three ODI games. India, had already won the test series with a 1-0 margin as the two teams moved into white ball format. The first two games of the series is going to be played at Barbados before the teams move back to Trinidad for the final ODI and T20 series which ends with 2 games in Florida.

SKY leaves everyone spell bound –

Indian team decided to give Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan to open the innings. At number 3, it was Surya Kumar Yadav who came out to bat in place of Virat Kohli. The target was a modest 115 for the Indian team.

Yadav who had taken the IPL 2023 season by storm showed his class in brief stay at the wicket. The 32 year old was facing Dominic Drakes when he got a short ball. Yadav managed to pull his now famous Supla Shot as the ball carried all the way beyond the boundary for a six.


India lose Gill and Yadav early –

Chasing 115 to win, Shubman Gill continued his indifferent form with the bat as he was out for 7. Yadav who had scored 3 ducks in the ODI series against Australia, was out for 19 off 25 balls with 3 fours and a six. Yadav was out to Motie when he was out LBW while going for yet another sweep.

Ishan Kishan scores a quick fifty –

The star for the Indian batting was young Ishan Kishan as he scored his fourth ODI fifty for India. The youngster went after the West Indian bowlers right from the start as he smashed each and every bowler to every part of the ground. Hardik Pandya who was sent in at number 4 was unlucky when he was run out for 5 at the non strikers end. The Indian team were on the cusp of taking a 1-0 lead into the series.
