Tata IPL season has started with a bang and the fans are enjoying every bit of it. In all the 6 games so far the teams have put on some exemplary skills with the bat, ball and in the field. While the action on the field has been top notch  the players taking part in the near two month tournament are finding time and ways to keep themselves entertained. KKR player Venkatesh Iyer is one such player and he has kept himself busy in a rather interesting way.

The story as it happened -

Indian premier league season began on March 31 with the game between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super kings. Across the globe nearly 90 thousand fans were in California attending the 39th edition of WWE's biggest event of the year, which is WrestleMania

Venkatesh Iyer pays tribute to Roman Reigns -

WrestleMania is a two day event which happens on Saturday and Sunday in the USA ( Sunday and Monday) India. The main event saw Roman Reigns beat fellow wrestler Cody Rhodes to retain his title .

One man who was glued to the TV to watch the wrestling extravaganza was KKR player Venkatesh Iyer. Once the fight was over, Venkatesh Iyer could be seen holding the replica of the WWE title as the visuals of the final moments of the WWE WrestleMania played out with Roman Reigns in the background.

KKR looking to bounce back -

Kolkata Knight Riders began the season on Saturday with a game away to Punjab Kings. The game was curtailed due to rain as the home side took home a 7 run win thanks to the Duckworth and Lewis method.

Venkatesh Iyer scored 34 off 28 balls which was a run shy of the 35 scored by Andre Russell. When the rain came down KKR needed 46 off 24 balls with 3 wickets in hand while chasing 192 run target by PBKS. The next game for KKR is against RCB at Kolkata on Thursday. If Iyer can do what Roman Reigns did on Sunday maybe RCB and Kolkata crowd will acknowledge him.
