Virat Kohli loses his cool at KS Bharat –

Indian wicket keeper and batter, KS Bharat was in massive pressure coming into the game. The 29 year old was nervous when he dropped a sitter in the 1st innings to give Travis Head a life off the bowling of Umesh Yadav.

Things did not go well for Bharat with the bat early on day 4 either. Virat Kohli played a ball down the leg side off Murphy. The former India skipper started to look for a quck run only for Bharat to decline. Kohli was quick to get back and gave KS Bharat an angry stare and even had a few words for him.

Kohli breaks his over 1200 day wait –

The partisan crowd which had come to Ahmedabad braving the heat, had lots to cheer for. Virat Kohli who last scored a test century in November,2019 against Bangladesh, broke the century drought. Kohli on Sunday, got his 28th test ton after batting for 241 balls with 5 fours in his innings. The entire crowd was seen celebrating as the former India skipper raised his bat and removed his helmet to get his long awaited test ton.

KS Bharat falls after scoring gritty 44 –

KS Bharat was an able ally for Virat Kohli as the Indian team was scoring at snails pace towards lunch. Post Lunch, the mood changed as the 29 year old Bharat smashed Cameron Green for 2 sixes off two balls and followed it up with a boundary. Just as Bharat was looking good for a fifty, he fell for 44 caught by Handscomb off Lyon.

Shreyas Iyer doesn’t come out to bat –

Ravindra Jadeja became the 1st wicket of the day for India when he was caught by Khawaja off Murphy for 28. The crowd expected Shreyas Iyer to walk into bat. The 28 year old though was no where to be seen. It was later learnt that, Iyer had complained of pain in his lower back. Iyer was sent for scans and the BCCI medical team is taking care and monitoring the situation.
