India leveled the five match series on Saturday by winning the fourth game which was played at Florida. The win means that the series is now 2-2 with the final game to be played on Sunday. The win was special as the Indian batters dominated the home team bowlers while chasing 179.

If India happen to win on Sunday, it will be a complete turn-around for the Indian team after losing the first two games of the series. A win in the final game on Sunday will also mean India complete a whitewash of series win over West Indies.

The story as it happened –

West Indies won the toss and decided to bat first and made three changes to the team. Jason Holder came back to the team while Shai Hope and Odean Smith also made a comeback to the side. The Indian team meanwhile went in with the same team.

Jaiswal hits an incredible shot –

Indian cricket’s latest sensation, Yashasvi Jaiswal made his T20 debut in the 3rd game which was played on Tuesday. The young left hander could score only 1 before he perished early. On Saturday the 20 year old showed his full range of shots during the fourth game.

The incident in question happened in the 5th over of the innings with Romario Shepherd bowling to Jaiswal. The left hander from Mumbai went down on his knees to scoop the ball four a four. The shot reminded everyone of AB De Villiers who was adept at playing such outrageous shots.

Hetmyer powers West Indies to 178 –

Batting first, Indian bowlers were whacked all over the park thanks to the brisk start by Kyle Mayers and Brandon King. Mayers in particular was in a punishing mood as he got off the blocks quick. Mayers hit 17 off 7 balls with 2 fours and a six before being caught by Samson off Arshdeep.

The top scorer for the home team was Shimron Hetmyer who scored 61 off 39 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes. Shai Hope also played well as he scored 45 off 29 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes. Arshdeep picked 3 wickets, while Kuldeep picked 2 as Axar Patel, Chahal and Mukesh Kumar picked a wicket each with West Indies scoring 178.

India canter to 9 wicket win –

Chasing 179, the Indian team showed no signs of discomfort as they got to the target in 17 overs. Shubman Gill and Jaiswal added 165 for the 1st wicket in 15.3 overs as none of the West Indian bowlers had any answers to the Indian onslaught. Gill scored 77 off 47 balls with 3 fours and 5 sixes. Jaiswal was not out on 84 off 51 balls with 11 fours and 3 sixes, while Tilak Varma scored 7 not out off 5 balls.

The final game will be played on Sunday at Florida as many stars head to Ireland for the three match series stating 18th August.
