Technology getting mistaken happens very hardly. We have seen the Umpire on the field taking wrong decisions. And it's common for the spectators also but blunders by the telly umpire had put the viewers in shock. This incident was from a match in the women's premier league (WPL) between UP Warriorz vs Mumbai Indians.
The story as happened -
In the 10th Match of the women's premier league between UP warriorz and Mumbai Indians, Mumbai Indians beat the warriorz by 8 wickets. The entire game was full of wonders. One of them was about a telly umpire who mistakenly has given the decision.
This is what the telly umpire did-
In the first inning, UP warriorz scored 159. It was a pretty good score. Now it's time for Mumbai Indians to chase that score.
And it was the incident from the second inning when Healy Matthews and Yastika Bhatia were on the field. Yastika managed to score 42 and was playing beautifully.
Sophie Ecclestone came to bowl in the 5th over of the inning. Matthew was facing her.
Healy dug out the ball and UP Warriorz thought that it was a pad-Bat and they took the review. The major DRS showed the footage of the ball touching Matthews's shoes first and the ball was ticking the LPW. So Healy Matthew was given out by the third umpire.
Healy Matthew was stunned -
After the decision from the third umpire, Matthew was stunned and she chat with the opposition team's captain Allysa. And Matthew reviewed it again. This time the real footage came in front and put all the viewers in shock. The replay showed a different clip that the ball had made no contact with the pad before knocking the bat. Then the third umpire corrected its decision. The incident was full of drama and more shock as technology did the misstep.
Mumbai Indians register their another win-
After the whole drama game became more exciting as Mumbai Indians were chasing the score. After the dismissal of Healy Matthew and Yastika Bhatia, Responsibility was taken by Sciver and Harmanpreet. They both played a beautiful knock. Sciver managed 45 whole Harmanpreet scored 53 and took the team to register another win.
