Kuldeep Yadav has nothing right going for him after he was dropped unceremoniously from the 20 member squad which is to tour to the English shores in a few days after seeing very little action for the Virat Kohli led side barring the test match against England at Chennai during the second test of the four match series which came a good 2 years after his last test match appearance for India which was in Sydney against Australia at the start of 2019. The left arm Chinaman courted controversy recently while taking the Coronavirus vaccine.
The story as it happened –
Kuldeep Yadav had recently posted a picture of himself taking the jab for Coronavirus in a garden of a guest house in Kanpur and he faced a lot of flak for it as the Kanpur authorities ordered a full probe into the issue. As per the latest reports coming out the whole picture uploaded on twitter was a publicity stunt and Kuldeep Yadav infact had taken the jab as per the norms in a hospital. Himanshu Gupta the district magistrate at Kanpur had said that Kuldeep Yadav had taken the vaccine at a private hospital on 15th of May, 2021.
Rough patch for Kuldeep Yadav –
Kuldeep Yadav has not only had to face time out of the Indian team but also hasn’t played much IPL for Kolkata Knight Riders and the 26 year old was yet to see any action on the field this year before the league was suspended. The left arm wrist spinner recently came clean about his struggles and said “When you are playing non-stop, players do feel high on confidence. The more one sits out the more it gets tougher. I felt a huge pressure on me when I played the Test against England, in Chennai this February. Due to Covid, there was nothing happening, so things got really tougher even more last year, I did, sometimes I felt, ‘what is going on?’. It was difficult times. Sometimes, the mind says, ‘ab shayad woh Kuldeep nahi rahe.’ There were days when you feel serving drinks and being on the bench is for the best and then but there are days you don’t want to be in that place”
