The Indian team and its fans have seen lots of fast bowlers come and go, some are the likes of Zaheer Khan and Javagal Srinath where their skill takes over their game and does the talking while few others like RP Singh and Munaf Patel who showed the odd brilliance and then slowly got lost in the mix. There is certain in hunger in Sreesanth ever since his name was chopped off the final list of IPL auction list, the 38 year old from Kerala has been performing like a man possessed. Sreesanth started with 2 for 41 against Orissa and picked 5 wickets against Uttar Pradesh the first of his long List A career. He then picked 2 more wickets against Railways before going wicket less against Karnataka. The last league game against Bihar played at Alur, Sreesanth took 4 wickets for 30 runs and helped dismissing Bihar for a mere 148 which the Kerala team overhauled with 41.1 overs left to play. Robin Uthappa struck a 32 ball 87 with 4 boundaries and 10 maximums, while Vishnu Vinod scored a breezy 12 ball 37 and Sanju Samson finished the game with a 9 ball 24 with 2 fours and 2 sixes each.

Ever since he made his comeback to domestic cricket Sreesanth has been getting attention for the right reason as the 38 year old has displayed his old self with the ball. While the ability to bowl in the late 140’s might not be there, he still possess the upright seam and amazing swing that he had during his earlier years in cricket of which even someone like Sourav Ganguly was a fan off. If he can keep going with this momentum the sky is the limit for Sreesanth and who knows he may even get a late call for the IPL and perhaps his dream to don the India jersey once again might not be far off.
