The 15th match of TATA IPL 2023 season saw, Lucknow Super Giants take on Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Chinnaswamy stadium. The match was one for the ages as Lucknow held their nerves to win the game by 1 wicket in the last ball of the game. The loss was Royal Challengers Bangalore 2nd in a row after their 81 run loss to Kolkata Knight Riders.

The ball was thrown to veteran leg spinner Amit Mishra in a bid to stop Virat Kohli and Faf Du Plessis. The openers till that point had added 94 runs in just 11 overs. The cameras spotted Amit Mishra reportedly applying Saliva to the ball with him taking his fingers to lips before delivering the ball.

Virat Kohli falls two balls later –
After taking two singles in the over, Virat Kohli was facing off against Amit Mishra. The leg spinner dropped one short as Kohli rocked on to the backfoot. The timing was good but the former India and RCB skipper couldn’t get the elevation. Marcus Stoinis held on to the catch to get rid of Kohli for 61.
RCB’s fans earlier anger at Sunil Narine –
In the previous game after the loss to Kolkata Knight Riders, the Bangalore fans drew their ire at one player. The player in question was none other than Sunil Narine the Kolkata spinner who had gone past Kohli’s defense. One fan took to Twitter to apparently question the bowling action of the West Indian.
Faf Du Plessis fined as Avesh Khan given a warning –
Bangalore were behind the over rate as only 4 players could be placed outside the 30 yard circle. The Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf Du Plessis has been fined a 12 Lakh Rupees.
Lucknow bowler Avesh Khan who threw down his helmet after the win was also given a warning for his antics. Bangalore next face off against Delhi Capitals, while Lucknow take on Punjab Kings on Saturday.
