Indian Cricket: Twitter labels 23 year old as surprise for TATA IPL auctions 2023

Indian cricket fans are excited as the wait for TATA IPL 2023 auctions seems to drawing to and end. The mini auctions for the TATA IPL 2023 will be held a week from today at Kochi on 23rd December,2022.

The list has been pruned to 405 names from the 991 who had first registered. The fans will be seeing the likes of Ben Stokes, Sam Curran and Cameron Green be up for grabs. There are quiet a lot of Indian youngsters who will be looking to make their maiden foray into the IPL.

Vivrant Sharma one of the 21 Jammu and Kashmir players to be part of the list-

23 year old left handed opener Vivrant Sharma has been turning heads with his recent form in white ball cricket. During the recent Vijay Hazare Trophy he scored 369 runs from 9 games. Sharma had a best score of 154 not out against Uttarakhand which was his only century along with 2 half centuries.

A batter who can bowl –

The 23 year old is not only a decent opening option but also a very useful left arm slow bowler. In 14 List A games, he has picked 8 wickets with a best of 4/22. This can be an handy option for any team who are looking for a batter who can chip in with the ball when the going gets tough.

Vivrant Sharma’s domestic numbers –

Vivrant Sharma made his Ranji Debut this season with the debut game against defending champs MP where he scored 34. In the List A format, he has played 14 matches scoring 519 runs with an average of 39 with one century and 3 fifties.

Sharma has played only 9 T20 games and scored 191 runs with a best of 63 which is one of the 2 fifties he has scored with a strike rate of 128. He has also picked 6 wickets with a best of 4/13 and has an economy rate of 5.7 runs per over.  

Jammu Kashmir with the most players to be put their name for the auction –

21 players from Jammu and Kashmir have put their names up for the TATA IPL auction 2023. The names included Wasim Bashir and Aquib Nabi along with the likes of Abid Mushtaq, Rasikh Salam Dar and Shubham Khajuria.
